Inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s classic work, this project reimagines the opening title sequence of Tonari no Totoro with a Japanese animation aesthetic. The design incorporates detailed storyboarding, transitions, and effects to bring the characters and scenes to life. Key moments include rhythmic Totoro appearances, dynamic train animations, interactive character movements, layered backgrounds, rain effects, and a playful logo transition, all crafted to celebrate the charm and whimsy of this beloved series.

This animated poster brings the charm of My Neighbor Totoro to life by recreating the iconic scene of Totoro sleeping with characters interacting around him. Totoro's rhythmic snores cause Mei Kusakabe to rise and fall as she strokes his stomach, while humorous touches like Chu Totoro’s darting eyes and the playful antics of the white Totoros add whimsy.
